Role architecture
Platform Operator, Retailer and Merchant of Record in PRISM Commerce.
The Platform Operator operates the interface and coordinates platform processes. The Retailer is the customer’s retail counterparty. The Merchant of Record (MoR) is identified through the actual payment and contractual structure of the transaction and applicable requirements.
One entity may combine these roles, while operational functions may be distributed among several entities. Descriptions of a particular implementation identify the roles according to its actual structure.
